We had a great Thanksgiving! We spent it in Alamo at my Aunt Becky's new giant house. It was really fun having room for the whole family in one place. The kids especially enjoyed being with the cousins, the toy room upstairs and the theater room down stairs. As you can see we had our traditional pomegranate salad so that is the picture of everyone in aprons banging the fruit out of the pomegranate shells. The day after Thanksgiving we went out for our annual Christmas Tree hunting. We found all 4 trees (for the 4 families that wanted them) fairly quick. The kids had a blast in the trailer with the trees and taking picures on what they named "Family Rock".

Emily

Emily turned 5 in September. This is a picture of her doing what she loves...dressing up and playing with her friends. Emily also continues to love volleyball, baseball and anything that has to do with playing a game. She also has a new love for doing her "homework" as she is learning to perfect her letters and numbers. It's funny how kids love to do work until it is required of them :)

Shyanne

Shyanne is going strong in 2nd grade. She is in Mrs. Bowlers class and loves it. She is currently in a childrens choir, this is a picture of their first performance singing "Downtown". Shyanne loves to sing and dance and actually has a dance class for the neighbor girls that want to attend on occasion. She is becomming a good reader and a great big sister.

Shandon Man

Shandon is now 3.He continues to love the outdoors. He uses anything he can find to be a fishing pole or a gun.Since his tube placements in May his hearing and speaking has improved greatly. He has now become like his sisters, in that we can't get him to be quiet. He is also becoming a little witty and challenging our parenting with his comments. He loves to spend time with Emily while Shyanne is at school. They have become good buddies.

It's Been A While...

This was taken at the "Res" the first week of November. Ok so we are the ultimate blogging slackers! Volleyball just ended so hopefully I will have a little more time to do the "extra stuff" like blogging. However, those of you that know me well know you probobably ought not hold your breath on that one :) Our news for those who don't already know is that we are expecting our 4th child. I am about 14 weeks and the due date is May 13th. The kids all have put in their order for a baby boy...I guess Shandon is just so much fun they want another one just like him!!! Or maybe the girls don't want to share their room with another sister ;) Either way we will all be happy whatever we are blessed with.

Crazy Fall has begun!!!

School Has started again for Shyanne. She is in 2nd grade this year and is already enjoying it. Emily and Shyanne also started gymnastics last month and they both look forward to it every week. Along with school starting, I have started coaching Freshman volleyball for the 6th season. And, we can't forget BYU football has begun!!! Jerid is a good sport through the Fall. He gets to pinch hit quite a bit as do our moms and Aunt Susan. We are so appreciative to all those who help us watch the kids to allow us to do some of our hobbies and responsibilities. As for the kittens... we have already lost one of them (Oreo). Moonlight is still around and we have adopted one of the neighbors kittens. So, we will see how long we are able to keep them. The kids have really enjoyed having pets, and the kittens actually have grown to enjoy the kids as well :)

EMILY AND SHANDON'S INDOOR POOL

I was at work today when Mandie found this party going on in the tub. Good thing it was her that found it. I think I probably would have lost it. One good thing about it, we were able to get rid of some stuffed animals.

Shandon was ok with it; he took the fish into the water.

Just Starting

We decided to give the blog thing a try. We are new at it so the first while will be a learning experience, but hopefully a fun one. We had a couple of different people tell us they kind of like to use it for a family journal. I am sure we will be doing a lot of cleaning up if we catch onto it. First of all the picture above is the best recent photo we have as a family for starters, my brother Ken's graduation.
We had some summer activities so far that were fun and hope to post pictures of and maybe tell some other stories of as we get use to things. Mandie is president of the Young Women's in our ward and I'm in the Young Men's presidency so we will have to see about getting some of those pictures up as well. I also attempted to take the kids by myself on a camping trip this summer while Mandie was at summer camp. So let try my best to get some posted and see if I can figure it out.
